About

On September 28th, 2013 I married the man of my dreams and had the perfect wedding and wonderful vendors.  I thought it would be great exposure, for all those who worked so hard to deliver the best day ever, if we got the wedding published in a blog.

We had everything the Blogs were asking for.  Unique venues, lots of details, eclectic decor, soft palletes, vintage accents, chalkboard signs, pretty flowers, lace, family traditions, hand made items, DIY, gorgeous photography and the list could go on and on.  We hit every trending keyword and they were all publishing weddings that looked just like mine.  My photographer and I thought this would be a piece of cake.

Wrong!  Every Blog has different submission requirements which can be time consuming, and lots of rules.  As today, we are on our 4th rejection and waiting to hear back from our 5th submission. Each response has been the same, we were not a good fit and or they were not accepting weddings like ours at the time.  Meanwhile, everyday on their blogs, they are publishing weddings just like mine.

So where did we go wrong? So far we do not know if these blogs will ever publish us.  As the Bride, I would not have done anything different and it does not matter to me if I get published, but I really wanted to be able to showcase my vendors and thank them by generating more business for them. I decided to start this blog so I could share our wedding experience and get it up on Pinterest!
xoxo,
Angelique
